Wei Guanpeng

Mr Wei specializes in risk management, dispute resolution and complex litigation.

Mr Wei obtained a Bachelor's degree from the University of Political Science and Law of Southwest China in Chongqing and a double Master's degree (LL.M) with a focus on "German Civil and Corporate Law" from the China University of Political Science and Law in Beijing and the University of Cologne in Germany.

After graduation, Mr. Wei worked as a judge at a People's Court in Beijing for over five years and dealt with more than 2000 cases. Due to his many years of practical experience at the Court, Mr. Wei has extensive expertise in Chinese jurisprudence. Our clients benefit from this in particular when assessing the prospects of success of a legal claim in court.

From 2019 to 2022, Mr. Wei served as a diplomat (Third Secretary) at the Chinese Embassy in Germany. He participated in bilateral exchanges at various levels. His work focused on economic areas, including work to promote bilateral trade between Germany and China and direct investment. In his professional roles, Mr Wei has maintained good relations with authorities, chambers of commerce and investment promotion agencies from both countries.

Mr Wei joined the WZR team in 2023. He speaks Chinese, German, English and Cantonese.
