Zhang Yu

Ms. Zhang specializes in German and Chinese language translation of both directions, with particular expertise in translating legal documents.

Ms. Zhang studied law at the University of Political Science and Law in Beijing and German at Lanzhou University. She spent four months studying at the Law Faculty of the University of Vienna.

Prior to joining WZR, Ms. Zhang was responsible for the translation of legal documents in various areas at the German Corporation for International Cooperation GmbH (GIZ) and participated in a training project for Chinese judges and prosecutors in bilateral cooperation between China and Germany.

As a volunteer, Ms. Zhang provided general legal assistance to the People's Court of Xicheng District, Beijing. As part of her Master's Degree program, she was actively involved in legal translation project for the German Federal Ministry of Justice (BMJ) and the Chinese Ministry of Public Security (MPS).

Ms. Zhang speaks Chinese, German and English.
